Privacy policy

Last updated 6 October 2026

D1va is run by Chanelle Ryan, a sole trader (ABN 91 044 020 029) trading as D1va, in Victoria, Australia. “We” and “us” below mean Chanelle Ryan. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect, what we do with it, and where it goes. Questions? Email crownedandcapable@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your account details: your name and email address.
  • What you put into D1va: cases, tasks, notes, waiting-on items, and the names of people in your household or business.
  • Documents and photos you choose to upload.
  • A simple count of how many AI actions you use each month. We do not keep the text you send to the AI in this count.
  • Basic technical information needed to run the service, such as your timezone and error logs.

How we use it

Only to run D1va for you: to show you your own information, send account emails (like confirming your address or resetting a password), keep the service secure, and provide support when you ask. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How the AI features work, and where your data goes

D1va has two AI features: Brain Dump and Read with AI. They run only when you press the button.

  • When you use Brain Dump, the text you type is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, along with a list of your household members’ names and the titles of your open cases, so it can match things up.
  • When you press Read with AI on a document, that one document is sent to Anthropic to be read.
  • Nothing else is sent, and nothing the AI suggests is saved until you approve it.
  • Anthropic is based in the United States, so this information leaves Australia. Under Anthropic’s published commercial terms, content sent through its API is not used to train its models by default, and it may be kept for a limited time for safety and abuse prevention. You can read Anthropic’s current terms on its website.

If you’d rather not use AI on something, don’t press the button. You can use every other part of D1va without it.

Where we store your information

Your account, cases, tasks and uploaded files are stored with Supabase (a database and file-storage provider) in Sydney, Australia. The website itself is hosted by Vercel, and account emails (like confirming your address) are sent through Supabase’s email service. Some of these providers may process limited data outside Australia, and the AI features send information to the United States, as explained above. We choose providers with strong security practices, and we only share what is needed to run the service.

Information about other people

You may add names and details of family members, staff or clients. Please only add what you need to, and only information you’re allowed to share. Some documents (for example medical or school letters) may contain sensitive information. Upload only what you’re comfortable keeping in the app. D1va is not a medical or legal records system.

Keeping it safe

Your information is accessible only to your account, and it’s encrypted while it travels between you and our servers. Uploaded files are stored privately, and viewing one uses a link that expires after about a minute. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Australian privacy regulator as the law requires.

Keeping and deleting your information

You can delete any case, task or document yourself at any time. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email crownedandcapable@gmail.com and we’ll do it, normally within 30 days. Backups held by our providers may take a little longer to clear.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email crownedandcapable@gmail.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first and we’ll try to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we’ll let you know in the app or by email.
